As a member of Beta Alpha Psi, you will have exclusive access to our events, including networking events where you will have the chance to develop real, personal connections with true business leaders and the opportunity for international travel. If you are looking to gain an edge over other students when applying for vacation or graduate positions, Beta Alpha Psi is for you.

As an associate member of Beta Alpha Psi, you will gain exclusive access to a number of events we hold throughout the year. If attendance/performance is met, you will be invited to join as a full member the following year.

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS

Beta Alpha Psi is a prestigious and selective honours society and as such places eligibility and participation requirements on membership. ​

PROCESS

Applications to join Beta Alpha Psi – University of Melbourne chapter as an associate member open each year in March and August. The application process comprises of three processes, for more information please keep up to date with our social media during recruitment seasons.

ELIGIBILITY

The student:

  • Intends to declare a major in accounting
  • Is a current University of Melbourne student enrolled in at least one (1) unit
  • Has attained a Weighted Average Mark (WAM) of over 70 across their degree or attained at least 75 on the most recently completed semester as a full-time student or equivalent part-time of study

PARTICIPATION

The student is strongly encouraged to attend all chapter activities however must attend and participate in over a single year at least:

  • 10 hours of Professional activities
  • 6 hours of Service activities

ELIGIBILITY

The student:

  • Has completed at least one second or third-year subject in  accounting
  • Have been an associate member for at least one semester and met appropriate participation requirements
  • Has attained a Weighted Average Mark (WAM) of over 70 (double) across their degree

PARTICIPATION

The student is strongly encouraged to attend all chapter activities however must attend and participate in over a single year at least:

  • 20 hours of Professional activities
  • 12 hours of Service activities
